Pediatric surgery is a subspecialty of surgery, which deals with neonates, infants, children and adolescents. It covers patients having surgical problems during fetal life and neonates from day one to children aged 14 years of age .
The scope of Pediatric surgery involves neonatal surgery, pediatric general surgery, pediatric urology , paediatric surgical oncology and pediatric thoracic surgeries, selective paediatric plastic surgery and neurosurgery.Dedicated to Providing Compassionate and Expert Surgical Care for Children. Biography
Dr.Muhammad Riaz-ul-Haq did his Fellowship ( FCPS) in the subject of Paed.surgery in 2001 from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, Fellowship of European Board in Paed.surgery (FEBPS) in 2008 (UK), Visiting Fellowship from Nationwide Children Hospital Columbus Ohio (2008), and became Fellow of American College of Surgeons in October 2021. He is certified in Health Professionals Education (CHPE) and Health Research (CHR). He worked in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in different Teaching Hospitals as a consultant. At present he is working as Professor and Head of Paed.Surgery in Sahiwal Medical College and Sahiwal Teaching Hospital , Pakistan. He has many research papers in national and international journals. His areas of special interest are Neonatal surgery, Hypospadias, Anorectal malformations and Hirschsprungs disease.He established 36 bedded Department of Paediatric Surgery in Sahiwal Teaching Hospital and giving day and night paediatric surgical services in Okara. Department of Paediatric surgery is recognized for MS and FCPS training in Paediatric Surgery. He is pioneer in starting paediatric laparoscopic surgery in Sahiwal Teaching Hospital Sahiwal
